Matt McClintock is Founder and CEO of M Squared Capital. Mr. McClintock spent 15 years as a highly public Wall Street Sell-Side research analyst in the Retail/Consumer industry, where he covered 80+ companies. His broad experience stands in stark contrast to most Sell-Side analysts as over his tenure he led teams across many consumer discretionary categories, including Apparel Wholesale, Retail Broadlines, Retail Softlines, and Retail Hardlines. He also has the unique experience of leading Latin American Retail coverage, from Mexico to Argentina, while based in Sao Paulo.
Mr. McClintock is the first analyst in history to receive the #1 Thomson Reuters Stock Picker StarMine Award in consecutive years (2015-2016) for the Textiles, Apparel, and Luxury Goods industry. He was a Top 10 analyst for both Retail Hardlines and Retail Softlines by Institutional Investor magazine (out of 40+ major competitors in each), as well as a consistent top decile analyst and expert across all industries according to Tipranks (~15,000 ranked in total).
Mr. McClintock left his Wall Street career as a Managing Director at Raymond James at the end of 2020 to focus on small business M&A and consulting. He began his career at Lehman Brothers in 2005 and continued with Barclays after the acquisition up until 2019, when he transitioned to Raymond James. He has been a frequent contributor to major media outlets including television appearances/publication interviews at CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, The New York Times, Fox Business, Bloomberg, Forbes, and Fortune, among many others.
A graduate of Florida State University with a triple major in Accounting, Economics, and Finance, Mr. McClintock later received his MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU. He has also been awarded both the CPA and CFA designations.
